Scout Report:  Saturday, April 14, 6 of us scouted this hike that will be done for the first time in years for CMC. The trail is in good shape. It should be noted that the first of ¾ mile of this hike is VERY STRENOUS for a half day hike. There is a very steep climb of 500 feet in less that half mile followed by a very steep descent. Hardly any switchbacks, it is just about straight up and down. After that, the hike is a very moderate and scenic one in a remote area off 215 and in the Southern shadow of Devils Courthouse and Pilot Mountain. The hike goes to Courthouse Falls, one of the nicer of our Transylvania waterfalls. Then we will walk back the FS road. We spotted about 30 blooming flowers on this scout. Stuart
