You can join the Carolina Mountain Club either online or by mail.
Click JOIN THE CMC and follow the prompts.
You have a choice of joining and paying online, with your credit card, or downloading the Membership Form and mailing it in with your check. If you choose to pay online there will be a $1 fee to cover additional costs to the Club.
You can also download a copy of the membership form by clicking on the Membership Form below. You are also invited to participate in a few hikes or some trail maintenance before joining CMC, but please contact the leader ahead of time. Some trail work is open only to members.

By joining, you’ll have full access to member services, so that you can begin enjoying Western North Carolina’s oldest and largest hiking trail club.
Membership Fees:
- Individual $20
- Family $30
Once you join CMC you will be able to log on to the members area of the website where you can modify your personal information and find other members./p>
CMC is a non-profit organization. Contributions above the $20 and $30 member levels are tax deductible and also may qualify for 501(c)3 corporate matching funds. Your dues and contributions support CMC programs to promote hiking and to build, maintain, and protect trails in Western North Carolina. Please consider joining and/or making a contribution.
Refund Policy:
Carolina Mountain Club does not refund payments for membership dues.
