There are members whose dedication and service to the Carolina Mountain Club is so outstanding that they are granted the highest Club honor--Honorary Life Membership. This is not an annual award; there are years that no member receives this honor and years where a number of members are recognized. The Club's governing Council is responsible for identifying and granting Honorary Life Membership.
