Help celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Mountains-to-Sea Trail September 9th by participating in MST in a Day! We are seeking CMC members familiar with MST Trails to hike one or more "legs" of the trail the Club maintains. Go to http://meetup.com/MSTSegment2 to  hike a leg between Waterrock Knob and Pisgah Inn or http://meetup.com/MSTSegment3 to hike a leg between Pisgah Inn and Black Mtn. Campground. Just join one of these Meet-ups and choose your hike! There are 26 legs in our area and we want CMC hikers on all of them. Barbara Morgan and Gregory Bechtel are listed on all of the hikes because the are the "Event Coordintors, but we need you to do the hiking.

OUR NATIONAL FORESTS NEED YOU NOW! Take advantage of an opportunity to provide input on the Pisgah and Nantahla Forest Management Plans by attending a meeting in your area during July. The last meeting is July 25th, 3-6pm at the Bentley Fellowship Hall on the Mars Hill University Campus--265 Cascade St. in Mars Hill. Click on the National Forests link to find out about important issues that will impact hikers. Don't miss this opportunity to make your voice heard! National Forests
